My Pet Love

My pet love is not a pet, that would rather be a person and the person would very likely to be someone that I’ve known for the longest time in my life…

My pet love is not a pet, in case that I am asked. I don’t have a real pet and not planning to have one. Well I had a cat when I was 12 and living with my grandparents. The cat died, we adopted another cat. This time the cat gave birth to three baby beautiful kittens.

As we never wanted to have too many cats at home, we had sent the three kittens away to one of our relatives who have a bigger house and gardens. Then one day, our mother cat disappeared and I never saw her again. We asked our relative to send us back one cat, this time we chose a Mr Cat so at least he didn’t have to give birth. We thought he was happy with us for some time. I left my grandparents house as I grew up and while Mr Cat was still three. Then one day I came back for a visit to my grandparents’, the cat disappeared again, I wasn’t sure what happened this time when we lost the cat, also for what had happened to the mother cat too. Maybe they both got stolen. If this was in a Western country, that would be much easier to find them.

Maybe I don’t have a cat or dog, but I have space and time for an amusing detective Pikachu in the house 😂

Why do I talk about cats today? I just remember that I have met with a lesbian couple who is looking for a new place to stay. It happens that they came to find us at LAM VILLA Riverside, they love the concept and told me that this would be a great place for them and the three cats. I was like… three!? They reassured me that the cats are nice as they are “expat” cats. One is British cat and the other two I can’t remember if it was a he or a she, German or African 😂

Anyway, just so people know that I am neither interested in cats or dogs. I would still protect animal rights when I can but I just don’t feel the love for pets in general. If I am asked again for my pet love, I would rather say that I would prefer a human to play with, if I can’t find that human then there’s a human me that I hardly ever get bored with (maybe sometimes) ☺️

To track back for my pet love, I’ve always loved music in general, I also like writing sometimes – I had lost this writing habit for years and now I am trying to get back to it. I also want to trace back to my childhood years, when my pet love used to be gardening. I still played with and by myself pretty much but life back the was much more fun, before the “industrial revolution” came with a “hello” from the internet and Social Media when I reached my teenage year. My life was never the same again.

So, the two plants in the pots are mine. I had them a year ago but half of the time I had to send them to a colleague’s house to ask her to take care for me because I was away for so long. The plants are back, one grow so big and tall that I would need a new pot. The other one as you can see, trying to survive…
These banana trees are the “souls” of LAM VILLA – even our logo was inspired by the banana leaves ☺️
This rose is definitely more beautiful compared to the one from Beauty and the Beast which looks like 🥀
Waiting for the future roses 🌹
Straight from the garden, brought to me by my little friend Út Bin ☺️
I don’t know what this is called…

Ain’t No Sunshine

I also learn that whenever I am by myself, I tend to be a more responsible adult when it comes to having to set my own rules to keep the house clean and to be a super organized person when I can. I can’t do that when I am with my parents because whenever I am with them, I feel like I am Olaf and I have no skull or no bones.

“Ain’t no sunshine when she’s gone
It’s not warm when she’s away
Ain’t no sunshine when she’s gone
And she’s always gone too long
Anytime she goes away

Ain’t no sunshine when she’s gone
Only darkness every day
Ain’t no sunshine when she’s gone
And this house just ain’t no home
Anytime she goes away…”

This song has stuck inside my head over the past few days. For one, it is now rainy season in Central and South of Vietnam, we even have major storms in some parts of the country. By the way, thanks to this new job assignment, this is the first time that I’ve got a chance to witness the rainy season in Central Vietnam which I only knew via the songs I used to listen whilst I was a kid.

I am truly blessed to live in Lam Villa Riverside, a home away from home which is full of natural daylight. It’s small but cozy and I have everything, literally everything that I need for a young female professional. It’s got to do with security, comfort and privacy. Because of this, I would trade my time traveling to work so that I could go home everyday to enjoy my own space. For me, it’s always like a bit of a contradiction, I work in travel industry and I am ready to move all the times. But I don’t even think that I am an experienced traveler. I don’t even have interests to go to many different spaces but more into having a space where I can have my time and space, or else, I would rather be home, even if it means that I will spend most of the time by myself.

Meet my friend – Detective Pikachu sitting on the couch.

My goal is to enjoy every moment, except for times that I overthink about many things ☺️

It’s really almost 2:30am now and I am still writing this, perhaps it will be the last blog post for this month, knowing that I will be super busy from now until end of the year. By the way, today is my official but fake birthday as it is written on my passport. The day is known as the Business Day Vietnam (13 October), I thought it was just a coincidence but it’s kind of fun to think as well. I never thought that I would see myself as a businesswoman. If I keep saying this then many people would get worried with the fact that I am in a position that I am today, as a so-called…businesswoman. But who knows…

October is the month that I often get a little crazier than usual because all my ideas would come all together at once. I often gain lots of energy to do everything everything but I am sure by middle of next year I will get tired again. So I will try to see this time how I manage myself more effectively.

P/S: I am so in need for a holiday after all this happening with all these busy-ness!

Let It Be

I have literally shut the whole world and the hell out over the past few days. I am not sorry that I have refused to take any advices (good or bad).

It is the moment when all you really want to do is to shut the world out, turn your music on and the favourite tune is always Let It Be by The Beatles. Love this type of songs and those things that never fade away…
